Raft, kayak/ducky or SUP on the Arkansas River or practice on a near by lake.

A variety of Nordic/snow shoe trails run throughout the valley.  The Winter Guide below outlines some trails.  

Less than two miles from here is a nice old railroad grade to tour, off of CR290.

Or ride the lifts at Monarch Ski Area (approximately 45 minutes).

St. Elmo ghost town is just up County Road 162. 

Chaffee County has become quite known for its variety of Mountain Biking.  Many bike shops and rentals are available in town.

along the tributary creeks, high mountain lakes, or the along the Arkansas River Fishing Gold Metal Waters, you're sure to find a spot.
